Common Medical Conditions

Common Medical Conditions web site is about just that....Common (and a few not so common) Medical Conditions. Conditions include information about insomnia, snoring, cold sores, acid reflux, acne, eczema, tmj, gout, ringing in the ears, warts, sweating sickness, anxiety, yeast infections, skin moles, migraine headaches, herpes, asthma and more.

Although we hope to provide helpful information and links to products and services that may help, we highly recommend you consult a physician and do not rely on self diagnosis. If you are not comfortable with a diagnosis, you should consult more than one doctor. You could be surprised at how effective this is. In the case of a serious diagnosis, e.g. cancer treatment or recommendation for surgery, you should obtain at least 3 opinions before proceeding with any major treatment.

Not only could a doctor misdiagnose a symptom, but you might find that you are more comfortable with one doctor over another. Also, you need to pay attention to the doctors office's organization. His/Her care facility needs to be organized and efficient. A poorly run facility can impact how well a doctor diagnoses your symptoms and is a reflectiion on the doctor.

I recently went to the doctor and when he pulled my file, he started talking about a medication he thought I was taking. I told him I was not on that medication and he realized that someone elses records were in my file. Fortunately, I knew I wasn't on that medication. Any patient can get confused, especially if they are taking a lot of medication, so it's very important that you have confidence in the physician and his office staff.

Most of the medical conditions we write about on this web site are very common. Not only are they common, but many are very uncomfortable and difficult for the patient to live with. Although there are many medications and procedures that can help the patient, they don't always work and /or have side effects.

We hope this site, which covers many common medical conditions, is helpful. We will be adding additional articles on a monthly basis. So check back often. However, remember to consult your physician before trying any medication or treatment.
